SKEMA Business School
The program is born in Sophia Antipolis since now almost 20 years (in 1998) with the initial expertise of M-H-Bouchet in International Finance (he held high-level positions in international banking, including at BNP (country risk management), the World Bank (Senior Economist-financial engineering assistance) and the Institute of International Finance (Senior international economist) in Washington, D.C.
Then, the program changed his name to become a Specialised Master in Financial Market and Information Technologies only deemed for students with an engineering background. Finally, under the impetus of Tarek Amyuni (Sophia campus scientific director, former trader for Merrill Lynch in the US), it broadened his academic coverage to become the MSc in Financial Markets and Investments, open to a larger spectrum of profiles.
This change from an MS to an MSc was also deemed for international students and to set 100% courses taught in English. It became 6th Worldwide (Financial Times ranking in pre-experience programme) in 2015 after being 10th worldwide during a couple of years. The ranking is linked to the MSc FMI program, whatever the campus (Paris, Sophia Antipolis or Raleigh in the US).
